my "plan was to stay there for a couple of days at the gioia house but at the end i spend almost 2 months there..!
the cozy accomodation in the jungle with all those surfspots nearby, the delicious local food and drinks, the great crew and simply those amazing vibes make you wanna stay longer.. and longer.. and may come back😚
I visited this beautiful place two times now, and i am always impressed that with your arrival there you feel so integrated in the whole surroundings.
Its not like you are in some kind of normal Hostel, its more like a familie, who help each other and give good "local" tips what to do and where to go.
I surely come back there!

I can fully recommend the GIOIA House! The hosts and people are very friendly and always helpful. You can rent a scooter and easily reach Mirissa and Galle, too. The food is delicious and the closest beach is just 5 minutes away. Wifi is available and hammocks invite you to chill after a long beach day. Go there and enjoy the perfect place.

The Gioia house is a beautiful and most welcoming place! It offers all the luxury you need ( clean rooms and bathrooms, mosquito nets, awesome food..)and still gives you the real Sri Lanken experience and not a touristic version. The members of the Gioia Family gonna become your own family and best friends! I can recommend that place without hesitation to anyone who is ready for a little bit of magic:)
My next trip is going to be right back to Gioia house!

It's a great place to spend an amazing stay.
Laura and Josh who put so much effort and energie into this project are awsome people who connected so very easy and well with the people around them.
They can teach you so much about the amazing Sri Lanka.
The rooms are neat and tidy Iresha and Anusha do a great job at making you feel realy compfy☺ whenever you need something they will go out of their way to help you out.
I am so excited to see the finished cabanas when I return in 2016!!
